FIREPRO CPR
Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death among adults. Most arrests occur in persons with underlying heart disease but could happen to anyone at anytime. CPR doubles the chance of survival from sudden cardiac arrest. If CPR is started within the first 4 minutes of collapse and defibrillation is provided within 10 minutes that person has a 40% chance of survival. A 40% chance of survival is great considering if CPR is not initiated that person has a 0% chance of survival.
Fire Safety: Before/During and After a Fire in Your Home
Prevention is the first step when it comes to protecting yourself and your family from home fires. Smoke detectors and alarms are often the first line of defense, as these devices will alert your family to a fire so that you have time to escape safely. Families are also encouraged to develop escape routes, to discuss these routes with their children, and to run practice drills so that everyone knows what to do in the event of an actual fire.
